Decision Drop is an independent college admissions consulting firm founded by former university admissions professionals Lisa Clay and Josh Hudley.

We provide personalized college counseling for students in grades 9-12, with every student benefiting from the perspective and expertise of both Lisa and Josh across college list development, application strategy, essays, extracurricular planning, testing strategy, recommendation guidance, and application review. We work virtually with students and families throughout the United States and internationally, with in-person counseling available primarily with Lisa in Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, and the Tampa Bay area, and primarily with Josh in the Houston metro area.

Our approach is personal, practical, and student-centered. We help students uncover the stories and strengths that make their applications authentic, build thoughtful college lists, and move through the admissions process with more clarity, confidence, and a whole lot less chaos.
