We’re Josh and Lisa, and we’re genuinely glad you’re here.
This website is the beginning of something we’ve been dreaming about for a long time: Decision Drop.
If you’ve ever sat at a kitchen table late at night wondering if your student is “doing enough,” or if you’re missing something important, you already know the truth. This process is not just about applications. It’s about identity, confidence, and the pressure to get it right. It can feel like the stakes are sky-high, and the rules keep changing.
We don’t take your trust lightly. We built Decision Drop to be the kind of steady, honest support we wish every family had access to.

College should not feel like chaos. We’re transparent about what matters, what it takes, and what each step actually means. We’ll tell you the truth, and we’ll help you move forward with a plan.
What makes our perspective different
There are a lot of independent college counselors out there. Many are well-intentioned, and many are helpful. But not everyone has sat on both sides of the desk.
We have.
Between us, we’ve worked as college admissions counselors and as directors of high school college advising offices. We’ve read applications and made decisions, and we’ve also walked alongside students as they searched for the right-fit schools, wrote essays, handled setbacks, and tried to stay confident while the world offered opinions at every turn.
That combination matters, because it means our guidance isn’t based on guesswork, internet myths, or what sounds good on social media. We have the experience and expertise to back it up.
What we will and won’t promise
We didn’t want to build a company on false promises, money-back guarantees, or the kind of certainty this process simply cannot offer.
What we can guarantee is this:
We will work with your kiddo to protect their authenticity, grow their confidence, and step into their next chapter, and beyond, with clarity and self-trust.

Josh brings calm clarity that students and parents feel immediately. Lisa brings the color-coded plans, the enthusiastic golden-retriever energy, and the occasional “deep breath, we’re not spiraling today” pep talk.
Different styles, same mission: help students make thoughtful choices, tell the truth well, and feel supported the whole way through.
